For Shire Hall Historic Courthouse I conceived, prototyped, tested, designed and implemented an iPad-based Family Guide for visiting families. As the Courthouse is a listed building and has little in-room interpretation, this Guide forms to the content core of the visitors experience.
The guide uses a mixture of features, presentations, games, quizzes and other activities to engage visitors. Children can collect tokens in a ‘memory box’; take selfies in the courtroom and email them home; become a historic court reporter and print out their own newspaper report – and much more.
Using my Darwin platform, I worked with the Shire Hall team to specify all the content and features in the guide, implement and deploy it.
