Thank you!

Thank you for using Darwin Creator. If you have not already done so, you can download Darwin Creator and the Darwin Player (for iOS devices) from the following locations.

Download Darwin

Please download Darwin from one of the following locations (remember: to edit your own stories you need Darwin Creator)

Darwin Creator for Macintosh

Note for Macintosh users

To install and run Darwin you will need to ensure you have the correct security settings on your Mac.

Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy

and at the bottom of the panel select:

Allow apps downloaded from: Mac App Store and Identified Developers

Without this, Darwin will launch and show an empty home page but otherwise will not work at all.

Very important note for Mojave users!

Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy then from the list select ‘Full Disk Access’ and add Darwin Creator to the list. Without this the Mojave OS won’t let you add any images or other media to your story. Apple keep adding these features and don’t tell anyone. Aargh!

Darwin Creator for Windows

Note for Windows users

If you cannot see video in Darwin, you will need to download and install the LAVFilters. These are a series of video codecs that allow your computer to display video within Darwin. They are perfectly safe and okay to install.

You can download LAVFilters here.

Darwin Player for iPad

Darwin mPlayer for iPhone

Get some help

Whilst you’re here, if you’re not sure how to get started, try watching our tutorial videos.

Launch Darwin, download some demos then get started

Once you’ve installed Darwin Creator on your Mac or PC, launch it then log in to the program with the user id darwin_demo and the password demo to see some sample stories, which you can download, run, explore and edit. When you’ve downloaded the sample series, log in again – this time with the user name and password you received when your purchased Darwin, which will give you full access to the program.

Happy Darwinning!
